Growing up in Ghana one of 12 children, the 6th to be exact, I knew I had to speak louder to be heard. That innate and insatiable desire to be heard led me to realize that there are others who need to be heard as well.

After my Advanced Level education in Ghana, I left and came to the US in 1994. Prior to that I had visited with my mom and brothers in the 1980's for a few months before heading back.

Started college and went to Pace University after leaving BMCC finishing my first year. The conversation within friends was to head into the Information System/computer science program. "That is where the money i" said everyone. So I started embarking on it. And I was miserable.

Transferred to NYIT and realized that what I wanted to do was in the arts. Specifically media.  During my first year at NYIT, an assignment was given by one of my professors to write a play or a show for ABC network which was a stone throw from NYIT New York campus.

I enjoyed writing that show which several years later has some few depictions of the amazing show "Scandal" on ABC network. I wonder if I had submitted my show, would it have been picked? It definitely wasn't near "Scandal" but had the interracial couple, White man and Black women love affair scenario and at that time nothing of that nature was airing on the networks.

I graduated from NYIT in 2006 with my Bachelors...( worked full time and went to school as well..and was glad I graduated with my BA).

I have worked in Finance, Advertising, etc., and knew that there was something else I wanted to do. I wanted to live out my purpose. And my purpose is to deliver information in a way that people understand and it makes a difference.

"MY TAKE WEB SERIES" and "MY TAKE GLOBAL" are platforms that allows me and my friends to share our take on various issues to pertains to the human race.  My take was created in 2017 and we have been bringing realness and lightness to difficult conversations.
